Save yourself a trip to the building. I can take your payment over the phone using your debt or credit card and even mail the gift to the address of your choice. E-mail gift certificates are also available via the phone. The gift receiver will find an e-mail gift certificate right in their in-box. You will also receive a copy to make sure that your gift did arrive.

New Waxing Services

Announcing new Waxing Services. Rest assured even though this is a new service, I have been waxing for over 12 years. Waxes that I will be using are an Olive Oil, Rose and Kiwi/Aloe. Here are a few waxing tips. There must be adequate new growth for the wax to work (1/4 inch) and make sure to avoid caffeine the day of your service.

I wanted to bring to your attention some of my fabulous new Facials that I have added onto the service menu for 2011. All of them are focused on keeping the skin youthful in a natural manner. New Facials include the "Oxygen Microdermabrasion Facial" which focuses on blocked pores and is good for acne, normal to oily skin types;the "Q10 Collagen Facial" which is wonderful for dry, mature and sensitive skin types and "Glycolic Rose Facial" which is includes a safe natural peel to exfoliate the skin, fade age spots and soften lines.

Reiki and Crystal Reiki Treatments

Reiki is a type of Energy Healing that involves the channeling of universal energy
(energy that is all around us) into the body for the purpose of self-healing. It is done by laying the hands in various positions on the body. Reiki is most often done laying down on a treatment (massage) table with the person fully clothed.

There are many reasons that people get a Reiki treatment. A few reasons include the need to feel grounded, relief from headaches and pain or to reduce stress. A few hospitals even have Reiki research programs and have found that Reiki can help relieve pain and accelerate the rate of healing after an operation.

Reiki combined with the use of crystals intensifies the Reiki experience. Crystals are used to balance the Chakras(energy centers) in the body. Although there is no direct manipulation of the body, people often feel the same kind of relaxation that one might feel after a Massage.

Treatments are recommended to be done on a regular basis. How regular depends on what you hope to accomplish with your Reiki Treatments. At your first appointment we will discuss what your goals are and I will work with you on a Reiki Treatment Plan. Your treatment plan may not only include Reiki, but other Healing treatments.

If you have never had Energy Work or a Healing Treatment, Reiki is a good treatment to start with.

Aura Cleansing Treatment

An Aura is the invisible energy field around a body. When doing an Aura Cleansing I am mostly concerned with helping you to identify any blockages in your physical, emotional and mental Auras.

Blockages can occur from a build up of pain, emotions and negative thoughts that we have not dealt with. We can also collect negativity from others even strangers.

My treatment includes guided imagery to identify what blockages you may have. A Healing Attunement is done to open up your body to your own healing energies and Crystal & Reiki to balance your Chakras.

I recommend Aura Cleansing twice a year or as needed especially if you feel that you are not moving forward in your life or have a difficult situation that you have dealt with or are currently dealing with.

Grounding Treatment

Grounding energy is connected to the Root Chakra. To be feel fully grounded is to feel like a strong tree with roots firmly planted deeply in the ground.

If you do not feel grounded you will recognise so quickly. You may feel out of sorts. You could also feel dizzy, exhausted, light headed, tired, stressed out, spacey or in general unable to make a decision. Some people also feel that you are viewing their life from outside their body as if they are watching a movie.

My Grounding Treatment will focus on your Root and Feet Chakras. The 60 minute Treatment includes a Foot Soak, Sugar Scrub and Massage to open the Feet Chakras. This is followed by Guided Meditation, Reiki and Crystal Work to balance the Root Chakra and promote healing. The Grounding Treatment should be scheduled whenever you are feeling out of sorts.

Cord Cutting Treatment

When we form a relationship of any kind we are connected by invisible threads of energy.This cord extends from the other person's body through our Aura and connects to one or a few of our Chakras.

Someone cannot cord you unless you want them to, but we may not be conscious of who we are energetically connected to and why. Examples of problematic cords include ones from past relationships or people that you know casually that want something from you.

Even healthy cords can be connected to a Chakra that is not appropriate. For example a cord in the Crown Chakra is essential for your children's survival, but a cord there from someone else could indicate that the person wants to control you or is evidence that they are "needy".

Each cord connection cyphers energy from our body so it is wise to periodically review who has corded us and if we want to keep that connection. We can choose to mentally cut this cord, or move it to a more appropriate Chakra.

My Cord Cutting Treatment is a full 90 minutes and guides you through this entire process. I recommend getting this treatment every 4-6 months or whenever you feel the need.

The Treatment includes a full Grounding Session followed by questions and guided imagery to help you identify whose cords are connected to which Chakra and whether they should be cut. Reiki and Crystal Therapy are included to seal the Cord Cutting Treatment, balance your Chakras and promote mental and physical healing.

Arrival of my new Tarot Card Deck

I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new Gaian Tarot Deck for a long time. It should be in my hands in a few more days. It is a limited edition Tarot deck created and sold by Artist Joanna Powell Colbert. Only 1000 copies were produced, most of which have sold within a few months of the listing. I feel blessed to have a copy.

Like many my finances have been limited so I been making monthly installments as a special edition deck handcrafted by the artist can cost up to 3 times more than a regular deck. I was very grateful for this option as an installment plan for a Tarot Deck is not common. So finally my last installment payment has been made and my deck is being shipped. Coincidentally the cards were shipped out on my birthday, June 22.

I must tell you that along with one of my closest friends I have been watching the development of this deck and tracking its progress for the past 3 years or via Joanna's blog. It takes longer than one might imagine, 9 years in this case, to design and create a deck of 78 cards.

Joanna has been called by Amber Lotus Publishing one of the "Most accomplished and well loved artists in the Goddess-Spirit Community". The deck depicts her relationship with nature and the Pacific Northwest community that she lives. One look at any of the cards will reveal that this deck is very special.

I consider the Gaian Tarot a healing deck because of the great love and care which was taken to construct and create it. I am looking forward to doing readings with it. Remember that if you feel drawn to this deck there must be a reason and you can request a reading anytime after July 1.

My new Treatment & Service Menu

I am very excited about my new treatment menu. I now feel that the services really reflect what I am good at which is making people feel better and facilitating healing. I have been in the healing profession for several years, but have always had to do so under the guise of Esthetics. This was due to the environment at the time, acceptance of the general public where I was doing business and also due to my lack of confidence as a healer. I see this treatment menu as an "awakening". I believe that my services combine healing with Esthetics in a comprehensive way.

Some of you may know that I am also the owner of River Organics handmade toiletries. I make natural skin and body care products for other wellness businesses around the country. Although this is my primary business focus, it is still important to me to make time to do treatments and help people.
